Parent-first product controls

Parents are first-class users in every XARKLO child product.

This policy explains how parental controls work inside StoriZad, what a parent can see or manage, what requires consent, and how XARKLO handles permissions and visibility.

Parental controls visual

Parental consent flow

Before account activation

  • An adult must initiate or approve child account setup
  • Consent covers account creation, basic processing, and essential permissions
  • Products explain what data is used and why

After activation

  • Parents can review ongoing controls
  • Parents can withdraw consent where law requires
  • Parents can request deletion or support escalation

What parents can control in StoriZad

Access and visibility

Parents can view child profile settings, progress visibility, and account state.

Content suitability

Parents can apply content boundaries, age-fit expectations, and safety preferences.

Time and activity

Parents can review reading patterns and manage healthy-use expectations where product controls are available.

Permissions

Camera, storage, microphone, and notifications must be tied to a product reason and explained clearly.

Support escalation

Parents can contact XARKLO support for privacy, safety, moderation, and deletion issues.

Transparency

XARKLO products aim to show parents what matters without overwhelming them with dark patterns or hidden settings.

Permissions and consent notes

Permissions in XARKLO products are expected to be minimal, justified, and documented. Optional permissions should never be disguised as mandatory for a child-safe experience.

Examples of justified permissions

  • Audio playback for narrated stories
  • Storage access for saving generated content when applicable
  • Notifications for parent-approved reminders or support updates

Examples of prohibited patterns

  • Requesting permissions before explaining value
  • Bundling unrelated permissions together
  • Using notifications or telemetry in a manipulative way
